Hey folks, this is the time of year we make a big push to sell our CSA shares for the upcoming season. Perhaps you’ve been wondering, “Hey Chris, how can I help?” I’m glad you asked! Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to get one other person to join the farm. Here are a few things that are quick and easy to do that could result in your success. And if everyone got just one more person to sign up we’d be sold out.
- Here is a flyer in Word format that you can edit, print out and display in common areas of organizations you frequent. Some possibilities include work, churches, and common areas of housing complexes. There is also a pdf file, and a jpeg file for you to post, share, tweet, etc.
- Mention us at book clubs, kids clubs, or other organizations where like-minded people hang out. And if there is an opportunity, I would be more than willing to come out and spend some time discussing the farm.
- If you are a Facebook user be sure to “Like” our farm and more importantly “Share” our posts. The more frequently people see our name the more likely they will become members.
- For you twitter users, retweet our tweets. To facilitate this I’ll change things up a bit so we post more content directly on twitter and not just links back to Facebook posts.
- Consider being a drop site for your neighbors. It might just be the push your neighbors need.
- Write positive reviews of our farm. Facebook, Google and LocalHarvest all have reviews. If you are a member of any other online community feel free to give us a shout out!
- Be sure when you talk to friends you mention Fresh Earth Farms specifically and not just “you should join a CSA.”
- And finally, please let us know if there are other approaches you recommend. We have a lot of hats to wear in this biz so we may not be aware of all that is available in the marketing world. To hold costs down, free and cheap approaches are preferred.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us over these last 12 years. And a “Thank you” in advance for any assistance you can give to make our 13th year especially successful.
