What's in your VeggieShare?
Our produce selection each year is both traditional and unusual. On the one hand we strive to provide food that is familiar and comfortable for most families – you will recognize most of the produce we provide. On the other hand, we also experiment with the unusual; we grow varieties that aren’t generally available in local stores or that are not typically grown here in Minnesota. At Fresh Earth Farms you will find more than 20 varieties of tomatoes, 8 varieties of potatoes and 6 different varieties of garlic. Typically we grow over 150 different fruits and vegetables. Be adventurous and try something new!
With our farm located in the Twin City metro area, Fresh Earth Farms endeavors to be the most flexible CSA on the market today. We have found that no two families are alike. Some like the convenience of delivery. Others prefer to have total control of the produce selection. At Fresh Earth Farms we cater to both.
Whether picking up at the farm or at a drop site, Fresh Earth Farms provides two share sizes: CoupleShare – good for two to four people; or FamilyShare – enough to satisfy three to five or more people.
I love Fresh Earth Farms produce! I have been a member of other CSA’s, but Fresh Earth Farms frankly is the best! I not only buy a share for myself, I give a share as a gift to my niece and her young family each year.
The vegetables are great and the chili peppers are HOT, but our favorite parts of the farm are the invitations to get the family out to plant potatoes or garlic. Chris and Susan are funny and friendly, and we always learn something new (or quirky) from them!
I have been a member of Fresh Earth Farms for 13 years. My kids have been raised eating these vegetables and are willing to eat vegetables most kids avoid. My green tomatillo chili has won awards and is a staple in my house.

On-farm pick-up provides the most flexible approach to CSA. With on-farm pick-up you are in control. You will personally select the produce you take home. On-farm pick-up is like shopping at your own personal farmer’s market. In addition to the advantages of personal selection, with on-farm pick-up you have a direct line to the people who grow your produce. One of the employees of Fresh Earth Farms is always available in the pick-up tent to answer your questions. Don’t know what a specific vegetable is? Simply ask! Don’t know how to prepare something? If we don’t know, another member picking-up at the same time may have the answer. With on-farm pick-up you are never alone!

Drop-site pick-up is the traditional approach of most CSAs. Each week instead of coming to the farm to select your produce, we will carefully pack and deliver a box to a local drop-site convenient for you to pick-up. All boxes contain the same type, quality and quantity of produce as you get with on-farm pick-up. When convenience is most important or the farm is just too far away, choose one of our drop-site pick-up locations!
Purchased partner products will be delivered with your VeggieShare at no additional cost.
