A couple announcements, a list of what we have this week then on to your favorite part of the newsletter: Farm News!
Garlic planting is still on for Saturday, October 4th from 1:00 until done. We can use all the help we can get. It is an easy assignment. Primarily you need to bring lots of interesting stories to share so that we aren’t bored while popping garlic. If you aren’t one who likes sharing stories you can either be a planter on the transplanter — which involves riding on the equipment shoving garlic cloves into the ground — or just enjoy all the stories the rest of the crew offers. This is a great way to meet other farm members, swap recipe ideas and get some fresh air, sunshine and very little exercise. Bring a chair — or we can provide one — if you prefer sitting while popping.
We have honey for sale! The honey is from a farm member who keeps bees here at the farm plus a few other places. You can buy it when you pick-up in the tent. For delivery folks you can either order it online, or email me and send the money through Zelle or Paypal. You can use my email address for either service. Price is $10 for a one pound jar.
What will we have this week?
More winter squash! We’ll be handing out spaghetti squash and some of the others this week. Plus we have arugula, radishes, potatoes, some tomatoes, some cherries, peppers, some tomatillos, a few eggplants and some other things I can’t recall.
It is a ‘Shroom and WinterShare week. WinterShare is winter squash! No FlowerShare but it will return next week once we get the pumpkins washed.

Farm News
Fresh Earth Farms has confirmed it has preempted “Farm News” indefinitely.
“Last Wednesday, we made the decision to suspend production of ‘Farm News’ to avoid further inflaming a tense situation at an emotional moment for our community,” a spokesman for Fresh Earth Farms said. “It is a decision we made because we felt some of the comments were ill-timed and thus insensitive.”
“Great News for the Twin Cities: The ratings challenged ‘Farm News’ is CANCELLED. Congratulations to Fresh Earth Farms for finally having the courage to do what had to be done,” Trump wrote. “Farmer Chris has ZERO talent, and worse ratings than even Colbert, if that’s possible.”
FCC Chairman Brendan Carr: “There’s actions we can take on licensed blogs. It’s long past the time that…Fresh Earth Farms say ‘We’re not gonna run Farmer Chris anymore’. When you see stuff like this—I mean, we can do this the easy way or the hard way,”
“Farmer Chris’s comments are offensive and insensitive at a critical time in our nation’s discourse, and we do not believe they reflect the spectrum of opinions, views, or values of the local communities,” said Andrew Alford, president of Nexstar’s broadcasting division, in a statement.

In place of “Farm News” here is some Lorem ipsum. I hope you enjoy.

Joke of the Week
Why don’t farmers make good comedians?
Their jokes are too corny.
As always, do not hesitate to send in comments, suggestions, ideas, or anything else you think would be interesting to not share with the rest of the community.
