Many Odds and a Few Ends

Not a lot happening on the farm this time of year but I’ll fill you in on the few things that are after these brief messages.

We are still taking orders for the 2023 season. Sign-up at your earliest convenience. Tell your friend if you have one! We’ve had a great response so far; let’s keep it up!

Speaking of orders, we’ve added ShroomShare, CoffeeShare and plant six packs to the store. Feel free to order these as well. WinterShare and FlowerShare are also available.

I’m working on a couple of other add-ons. Not sure if they will happen but if they do you will be the first to know!

We are looking for a few workers for the summer. I haven’t put out an ad yet so if you want to beat (beet?) the rush feel free to contact me and I can fill you in on the deets!

Farm News

I was perusing the latest Organic Farming newsletter and saw an ad for “Natural Tanning Services”. I thought why would a farmer need natural tanning services? We get free, natural tans all summer long. Why would we need this? Is this service for farmers to maintain that natural glow all winter? Then I read more. It was for tanning animal hides. Totally different business.

On another note, this winter we embarked on a new project that we thought would take just a few minutes but seems to be going on forever. It started a while ago when we discovered a few classified documents but it seems the more we or the FBI look the more we or the FBI find. Anyone else having this problem or is it just us? Anyway, we hope to have this completed sometime before the beginning of the season.

Other than document searches its all about seed ordering and taxes. So if there is anything you want us to grow or depreciate please let me know soon!

Based on the non-scientific response from members regarding having AI write the newsletters, it seems that our membership felt ChatGPT lacked the sense of humor they’ve come to enjoy in these newsletters (we all have our faults) and so they were collectively disappointed in its newsletter quality. I guess we’ll have to await true AI before off-loading the newsletter writing task.

For those concerned about the status of the garlic I thought I’d include this photo. As you can see they are doing quite well.

Garlic Patch

That’s pretty much it. Now for a quick farm riddle:

Farmer Chris came to town with some watermelons.
He sold half of them plus half a melon
and found that he had one whole melon left.
How many melons did he take to town?

As always, do not hesitate to send in questions, comments, suggestions, ideas, answers to this week’s riddle, classified documents or new orders!
