Farm Update
Still carrying in the seed catalogs from the mailbox…
In addition to harvesting our mailbox we are working on the electronic side of the farming business. We have a new web site hosting provider and more importantly a new email address. From now on please send email to Chris@FreshEarthFarms.com . Our web address has not changed and is still www.FreshEarthFarms.com .
We are working on a few more web based capabilities that we will announce in the next few weeks/months.
Finally, we have a member who has graciously volunteered to help format recipes for our web site. If you have any good veggie recipes – especially seasonal recipes – please email them to me so we can include them in our recipe database.
2010 Sign-up Special
Hurry, Hurry, Hurry. This is the last week to sign-up for our “Sign-up for our 2010 season at 2009 prices!” special. Your order form must be postmarked by December 31, 2009. This special is open to anyone so please tell your friends, neighbors, extended family, etc.
Speaking of Spreading the Word
Just a quick reminder that we offer a $25 credit for any new member who is referred to us by you. Simply ask them to put your name on the “Where did you hear about us?” line on the order form and you will receive $25 off any Fresh Earth Farms product.
2010 Prices
We have determined pricing for 2010. We have tried to keep costs down but some we just don’t feel right keeping down – specifically wages. We felt the crew did a great job in 2009 so they will be getting raises in 2010.
Pricing for the CSA for 2010 is as follows:
Drop-site Box: $745
One On-farm Share: $290
Two On-farm Shares: $495
Three On-farm Shares: $700
Each Additional On-farm Share: $205
FOR THOSE WHO SIGNED UP UNDER THE OCTOBER EARLY BIRD SPECIAL, YOU WILL BE RECEIVING THE 2009 PRICE SINCE IT IS LOWER THAN THE 5% DISCOUNT PRICE.
Final payments for 2010 are due by March 31, 2010 but are welcome anytime. If you don’t know what you owe please contact me and I will send you your Net Due.
Seward Drop-site
We are still looking for a new host for our Seward drop-site. Please let me know if you are interested. You must live in the Seward neighborhood to be eligible.
Other Drop Sites
I’ve mentioned this before but it is worth mentioning again, if anyone else is interested in hosting a drop site please let me know and I can fill you in on the details. One area that seems to be especially interested in a drop site is the Apple Valley/Eagan area.
