BS
Let me tell you about all the BS here on the farm, but first a few announcements. We’re hoping to have the Garlic Planting Gala on Sunday, October 14th from 1:00 until done or 4:00, whichever comes sooner. Of course if the ground hasn’t dried sufficiently by then we may have to postpone again. The […]
Garlic Planting Postponed
With all the rain we received last night the ground is too wet to plant garlic this weekend. The forecast next week doesn’t look much better but let’s try for Sunday October 14th at 1:00. Maybe they rain will stop and the sun will shine for a few days.
The F-Word
As we harvested the Hubbard squash I felt like Dr. Miles J. Bennel from Invasion of the Body Snatchers. Quite terrifying! Garlic Planting this Saturday 1:00 to 4:00 or until done. Followed by a potluck and bonfire. Please let me know if you will make it. Many hands make light work. Before coming out check […]
Cold and Wet
First a couple of announcements then I answer your questions! We updated the on-line farmstand to take orders for the 2019 season. Since we did not sell out in 2018 like we planned we are hoping to get a better grasp at the number of shares to offer in 2019. So we are starting the […]
Two Bees or Not Two Bees
Things are buzzing here on the farm this week but first a couple of announcements. The annual Garlic Planting Gala has been scheduled for Saturday October 6th from 1:00 until done. This is THE social event of the already crowded fall social calendar. The preliminary schedule is to plant garlic from 1:00 until 4:00 or […]
Break Time
So much going on at the farm there is no time for writing the newsletter! Farm News Well I finally got the parts for the tractor and with the help of member Scott put it back together. So we all know what that means right? That’s correct, something else has to break. This time it […]
The Better Half?
This is week 11 out of 19. Despite it being the last week of August we are just over half way done with the season. Which do you prefer? The vegies of spring and summer or those of late summer into fall? Either way we still have so much more to go! As I mentioned […]
Just a Newsletter
Not nearly as exciting of a week as last week. Hard to top a bear sighting and an armed and dangerous man in a blue shirt. This garden spider is as scary as it got. Anyway, here are a couple of announcements. I created a Facebook group for members and friends of the farm to […]
Armed and Dangerous
Lots of exciting things going on at the farm. But first, is anyone interested in a Facebook Group for members to share ideas about how they use the produce or other interesting tidbits? I’m not a big Facebooker (I have no friends) but every time I go to the farm page it asks me if […]
