There is too much to do to put together a good newsletter so here is a brief newsletters that I will follow with a more extensive newsletter when I have more time.
This is the last week of the season. If you come next week we will put you to work.
What will we have this week?
A Lot! Including but not limited to sweet potatoes, potatoes, carrots, eggplant, more eggplant, shallots, some garlic, lemongrass, daikon radishes, watermelon radishes, Brussels sprouts, some Swiss chard, the last of the tomatoes, the last of the cherry tomatoes, the last of the tomatillos, the last of the peppers (though there are a lot of peppers), some popcorn, some celeriac, some celery, some cabbage, and I suppose a few other things as well.
Store the sweet potatoes on your counter for a few more weeks. It takes a bit of time for the potatoes to turn sweet. But keep an eye on them to ensure they don’t rot.
The hairy ball-shaped thing is celeriac. Google it or wait until I have time to write more.
The grass shaped plant that smells like lemon is lemongrass. See celeriac above.
There are Mushrooms this week. No other shares.
That is all for now. I’ll write more later this week to update you on the farm activities. But still feel free to send in questions, comments, suggestions, etc.
