Thousands of Words in Picture Form

Since I am not in a talkative mood — or maybe that should be a writative mood (typative mood?) — I thought a newsletter with a few pictures from the farm would be worth a few thousand words.  But first some quick announcements:

The current plan is to start the season on Wednesday, June 17th.  For those new to the farm I should point out that our week goes from Wednesday to Tuesday.  Yes it is different than your typical calendar week but we are not your typical farm.  So Wednesday June 17th is our goal.  Stay tuned though because this could change.

I will be sending out pick-up instructions next week to each of you via the email address we have on file.  Please share these instructions with anyone who may be picking up your produce over the course of the season.  If you don’t receive an email by June 10th please contact me so we can confirm we have the correct email address.

We still have shares available so spread the word!

If you plan to purchase any of our add-on shares please do so as soon as possible.  Our suppliers would like to get final numbers soon.  What are these extra shares I am talking about?  FruitShare, CheeseShare, EggShare, MeatShare, SeafoodShare, SalmonShare, FlowerShare, WinterShare and CoffeeShare (Flower and Winter shares are grown here).  If you consume any of these types of items please consider purchasing them from us; help support small, family farms!  To order send me an email or try our online store.

We have eggs available from our free-ranging hens.  With all the rain lately they’ve had a lot of worms to eat!  Contact me if you’d like to purchase some — $5/dozen.

I think that is all for now.  On with the show!

Here is the first planting of snap peas! Hopefully they will flower next week and we will have peas the first week of the season!
